This new series of Pokemon "Team Magma vs Team Aqua" has Sleek new CG Pokémon art, new strategic options and unique new dual Energy type Pokémon, making this the most cutting edge expansion ever as players are able to experience life as a Trainer more vividly than before. Players will not only enjoy the game, they will live it!
This expansion features 95 new cards, including 14 new Trainer cards, 3 new Special Energy cards themed especially for the Magma and Aqua Teams, and over 50 cards that include Pokémon from each Team which add depth and power to players’ deck building ability. Players join either Team to gain access to these Pokémon, some of whom now have dual Energy types allowing more flexibility in affecting opponents’ Weaknesses and Resistances.
Seven new Pokémon-ex, known for their high-risk, high-reward capabilities join this expansion and “Ancient” Pokémon, Kyogre and Groudon, are available for the first time in a regular expansion. The new dual Energy type Pokémon (which in this expansion all share the Darkness energy type), add an edginess and flexibility to players’ attacks and defenses, as well as previously unheard-of-strategies.
