Empoleon (Majestic Dawn, 17/100) is strong enough to be the star of any deck, especially when you consider that it can progress one step further into Empoleon LV.X (Diamond & Pearl, 120/130). Its Dual Splash attack lets you select 2 of your opponent's Pokémon, and then hand out 30 damage to each of them. Empoleon's second attack, Surf Together, is a devastating force if you have a well-stocked Bench. Surf Together begins with a base damage of 50 and gains 10 more damage for each of your Benched Pokémon. But beware the risk—the attack requires you to flip a coin, and you must apply 10 damage to each of your own Benched Pokémon if you get tails.
